Version 1.20
Remote Desktop eXtender
Remote Desktop eXtender (rdX) is the
ultimate solution for Terminal Server and Remote Desktop
Services
Enabling you to run 100% of your applications inside any
RDP session
Terminal Server and Remote Desktop Services offer an
unprecedented platform to run network based applications
via RDP. One of the limitations of RDP based desktops
however
is the inability to run 100% of the applications
normally found
on a
XP or Windows 7 workstation
rdX provides the solution by allowing any local
application
to run inside your RDP based desktop
rdX scenarios
Use Remote Desktop eXtender to run;
- Any application;
- All local hardware;
- DVD/Blue-ray content in an RDP session;
- Applications that are incompatible with SBC.
rdX compatibility
Remote Desktop eXtender is compatible with;
- All Windows clients (XP, Vista, 7)
- Windows 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Server;
- Windows 2008 / 2003 Terminal Server;
- Any application using RDP
Using rdX
rdX enables you to extend your RDP based desktop to
run all local applications, harnessing the power of your
local machine inside the RDP desktop
In a typical Terminal Server and RDS based network, 15 to
35% of the
workload can't be handled inside an RDP session due to
specific
hardware requirements (e.g. an USB Label printer) or high
end graphics
(e.g. DVD/Blue-Ray). rdX solves this problem
rdX extends the normal RDP protocol and communicates over
default RDP Virtual Channels.
Installing rdX is very easy
and invisible
for the end user.
